Leishen Intelligent LS 72B long range single-point distance sensor

LSLIDAR LS72B is a fixed-angle TOF ranging sensor built for precise short-to-mid range detection in robots, AGVs, cleaning/sterilization machines, and drones. It measures distance from 0.2 to 150 meters with ±5 cm accuracy and outputs distance and return-signal intensity at up to 10–200 Hz (user-configurable). The 905 nm Class 1 laser is eye-safe, and the sealed housing achieves Ingress Protection 67 for reliable operation from −40 °C to 85 °C. Compact 70 × 70 × 35 mm form factor, typical 2 W power, and 6–18 V supply simplify integration.

The LS72B communicates via Controller Area Network at 500 kbit/s and provides a simple data frame with distance in centimetres and intensity, plus a configuration frame for setting output frequency. A four-pin XH-4P connector exposes VCC, CAN High, CAN Low, and Ground; differential signalling levels and pin colours are documented for fast wiring. Mounting uses four M3 × 7 screws with specified torque and washer standards to ensure mechanical stability and maintain sealing.
